In November 2025, we began a collaboration with the Dr. Trueta Foundation in Gurb, Barcelona.
The Fundació Dr, Trueta, located in Gurb, Vic (Barcelona), is a private, Catalan, non-profit social initiative whose goal is to contribute to building a better world. To this end, it works on three main pillars: caring for the environment, helping people with mental health problems find employment, and development cooperation.
One of its lines of action is the collection and management of medicines, parapharmacy products and medical supplies for, as appropriate and in accordance with current legislation, their destruction, waste recovery or reuse.
In this regard, at Jannu Ferides we have begun to collaborate with the Dr. Trueta Foundation to give new life to a wide variety of resources (dressings, bandages, compression systems, ostomy supplies, wound care supplies, etc.) in our projects to care for people with wounds in different parts of the world.
In doing so, in addition to facilitating the care of people with wounds in environments with limited economic or healthcare resources, we are helping to raise awareness and reinforce the formidable work of the team at the Dr. Trueta Foundation. We are also promoting better use of existing resources, committing ourselves to the environment and to equity in healthcare.
