Payments and Donations Policy
1. Accepted Payment Methods

Our organization accepts the following payment methods for donations, fees, and contributions:

  • Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express) via a secure Virtual POS.
  • Recurring donations (monthly, quarterly, annually), automatically managed by the payment gateway.

The availability of payment methods may vary depending on the type of contribution or active campaign.

2. Recurring Payments (Membership Fees and Periodic Donations)
  • The donor or member may authorize periodic charges to their card at the selected frequency.
  • The authorization will remain active until the donor communicates its cancellation, which can be requested at any time. Cancelling the fee or periodic contribution will stop future charges.
  • Amounts already charged will not be refunded except in case of a transaction error.
3. Transaction Security (PSD2 and SCA)
  • All transactions are processed through a gateway certified according to PCI-DSS standards and comply with PSD2 regulations, applying Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) when required by the issuing bank.
  • During the contribution, the donor may be redirected to their bank to validate the transaction via SMS, banking app, or biometrics.
  • Our NGO does not store full card information; this information is transmitted encrypted directly to the payment entity.
4. Donation Receipt

After making a payment or donation, the donor will receive a confirmation email with the details of the contribution.

At this time, donations are not tax-deductible.

The NGO may issue a donation certificate provided the donor supplies the necessary information (full name, tax ID, fiscal address).

5. Personal Data Processing (GDPR and LOPDGDD)

The data provided during the donation or payment process will be used exclusively for:

  • Managing the contribution or membership fee.
  • Issuing receipts and tax certificates.
  • Complying with legal and accounting obligations.
  • Maintaining necessary communication with the donor or member.

Data will be processed in accordance with the GDPR and the LOPDGDD.

Banking information is not stored by the NGO.

The donor may exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, and objection by submitting a request to: info@jannu-ferides.org.

6. Currency and Taxes
  • All contributions and fees are processed in euros (€).
  • Donations to NGOs are exempt from VAT, in accordance with current regulations.
7. Refunds and Payment Errors

Voluntary contributions are non-refundable, except in cases of:

  • Technical error in the transaction
  • Duplicate charge
  • Unauthorized charge

8. Fraud Prevention and Misuse
  • Our NGO reserves the right to cancel or block payments if suspicious operations, incomplete data, or signs of fraud are detected.
  • We may request additional information to verify the donor’s identity when necessary.
